Rates & FAQ

Committing to healing is a (worth it!) investment of time and money.

Here’s what that looks like

Therapy rates

$250 per 50-minute session.*

I'm an out-of-network provider — by choice. Insurance dictates how many sessions you can have, what we can work on, and puts details about your care into a system neither of us controls.

Working outside of insurance means our work stays ours.

However, I can provide you with a detailed monthly bill (called a superbill), which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

*Some sliding-scale spots are available for clients who can’t afford this rate — email me at JW@jenniferwarpooltherapy.com to inquire.

It’s important to find a therapist that feels like the right fit for you or your kid.

The best way to find that out is to book a complimentary consult, where you can ask questions about how I work and share a bit about what’s happening—with zero pressure or expectations.

In general, I tend to be a strong fit for women and girls struggling with a harsh inner voice, whether that's showing up as disordered eating, anxiety, imposter syndrome, a work transition, or the emotional weight of perimenopause or menopause.

Therapy FAQs

Practical and logistical

  • Yes, I am.

  • Sessions are $250 per 50-minute session.

  • No, I'm an out-of-network provider in both CT and NY. This is a deliberate choice that gives us the freedom to work together on our own terms, without insurance companies dictating how or how often we meet.

However, I can provide you with a detailed monthly bill (called a superbill), which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

What to expect in therapy

  • It's a low-stakes conversation to get to know each other.  I'll ask what's going on for you, walk you through my approach, and open the floor to any questions you have.

If it feels like a good fit, we'll book your first session. If you're not sure yet, you can absolutely take more time before committing.

  • In our first session, I'll ask about what's bringing you in and what's been going on in your life. By the end, I'll share my initial thoughts on how we might work together.

The first session is a little different from subsequent sessions, because it’s more of an intake and explanation of what working together will look like.

  • I'm direct and I'm kind (those two things aren't mutually exclusive). I listen, I'm supportive, we work together to identify goals and I’ll check in to see how we’re doing and I’ll ask for your feedback. I won't sugarcoat things, but I also won't be harsh. And above all, you'll never feel judged in my office.
